Kotkan Nuoret Jouset (”Kotka Young Strings”) is a violin group consisting of Eija Vilkki’s violin present and former students at Kotka Music Institute. The members of the group range from beginners to professional musicians, and in the group they all can feel the joy of making music together with each other and their teacher. The aim of the group is ”learning together in a positively motivating environment”. The repertoire of the group covers diverse music styles from classical music to orchestral pop and folk music. The group gives concerts regularly in Kotka region. The members of the group also perform in private events on request.
